The event will present the mission of The Nation Voice Foundation as well as commemorate the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly on December 10, 1948.
The Nation Voice Foundation believes that true change begins with listening — listening to the needs, dreams, and struggles of those who have been overlooked. Its mission is simple but profound: to uplift women, children, and entire communities by turning stories of hardship into opportunities for growth. The foundation works alongside those who face the greatest challenges, providing access to education and the resources needed to build a better life.
Welcoming remarks will be delivered by Victoria Martino, President and CEO of The Nation Voice Foundation, followed by remarks from Nicole Grieco Butterfield, writer, educator, and co-chair of the Board of Directors’ Program Committee of the Westchester Chapter of the United Nations Association of the USA’s (UNA-USA). Special guests of the event will be Evelyne Mukasonga, a genocide survivor in Rwanda and author of From Death to Life Through Forgiveness, who will share her inspiring story of resilience and the transformative power of hope.
