From July 29 through August 14, our Founder and CEO, Victoria Martino, embarked on an extraordinary journey to Rwanda—a nation that has captured our hearts and minds. This visit, our first to Rwanda, marked the beginning of what we hope will be a lasting and impactful partnership. Known as the “land of a thousand hills,” Rwanda dazzled with its breathtaking beauty, but it was the spirit of its people that left the most profound impression.

Victoria witnessed firsthand the determination of Rwandans, young and old, to rebuild their lives and communities through education and hard work. She was deeply moved by the warmth, resilience, and unwavering commitment to progress that defines this nation. As Victoria shared, “What I saw in Rwanda was nothing short of inspiring. The eagerness to learn, the dedication to self-improvement, and the warmth of the people are extraordinary. We are ready to work hard to provide the tools and resources needed to rebuild and secure a brighter future.”

During her visit, Victoria had the honor of attending the graduation ceremony at UBUMWE Saint Kizito School Nursery and Primary—a powerful reminder of the importance of education in shaping a hopeful future. The pride and joy in the faces of the graduates and their families were a testament to the transformative power of learning.

Victoria also met with Emmanuel Bugingo, a key member of our Board of Directors and a driving force behind our community-building initiatives. Together, they explored strategies to enhance educational opportunities and provide essential services that will empower the Rwandan people to achieve their dreams. In Kigali, Victoria visited the UNICEF office, where she connected with Anais Teta, Executive Associate at UNICEF. Their discussions centered on creating sustainable change and ensuring that every child in Rwanda has access to quality education.

This visit is more than just a moment in time—it is the beginning of a new chapter for the Nation Voice Foundation. We are committed to standing with Rwanda as it continues its journey toward a brighter, more prosperous future. With every step we take, we are inspired by the strength, courage, and hope of the Rwandan people. This is just the start of a partnership that we believe will help this vibrant country reach its full potential, and we are honored to be part of this journey.
