From Death to Life Through Forgiveness by Evelyne Mukasonga

Evelyne Mukasonga’s memoir is a powerful story of survival, faith, and forgiveness. Born to a Hutu father and a Tutsi mother, Evelyne recounts her happy childhood in Gisenyi and the horrors that followed during the 1994 genocide. Hiding in fear, fleeing death, and ultimately escaping with her one-year-old son, her journey leads through Rwanda, the DRC, and eventually the United States. Her story is one of strength, loss, and resilience.

Today, Evelyne remains deeply committed to supporting the Rwandan community. All proceeds from this book go directly toward the Nation Voice Foundation’s initiatives in Rwanda.
